My paintings are Recycled Pop Art.
I get canvases of old paintings
or prints and their frames from
thrift stores or garage sales.
I deconstruct them ( and then )
re-construct them
"in my way or vision"
My art has a lot of humor
it is taken from my own life experience
and perceptions of what is
going on around me.
My own struggles for youth
and beauty and acceptance
I struggle everyday with huge insecurities
about myself and what people think of me.
I was raised Jewish and went to Hebrew school.
I do not consider myself any one religion
but all of them ....
I live each day with hope and humor.
The clouds are made from instillation
I found in a dumpster
The heart foam from an old fake
House plant !!
That is a real chain attached to the painting !!
& hours of labor & love I found
In my own heart.
